100 DayChallenge day 6 thru 10

Day #6 & #7

  SCA Event.

Didin’t fight but stayed up all night Friday nights and all Saturday blacksmithing and jewelry making in a Arts and Sciences compition. Sunday was sleep all day with some Intu-Flow® and light session of yoga to help workout the stiffness in the lower back from standing in front of a forge.

Day# 8

Yoga and walking 2 mile. Didn’t keep time. Just out moving today

Day #9

Forward Pressure/Be Breathe. Level 1. 10 Rounds. This time, I played it a little safer and added a two minute rest time between circuits instead of one. Also, as the form decrease, I stuck only with the forward and reverse eliptical mostly becaseu those two are primarliy the motions/directions needed for pushup. I got a little more rest doing this as well plus, this allowed me more time to focus on form. I only have one more week before the test so we’ll see how much improvemetn I can make before next Wednes day which I’m giving me for the cutoff day to allow me rest time befroe the event. Cool Down was Camel Pose, Threading the Needle Pose, and what I called a rerverse Locus pose. From Child’s pose, take the elbows and place them inside the hip fold. Keeping the forearms and hands lined up with the shoulders, lean forward trying to touch the shoulder with the hand. Also, try and keep the thumbs engged with the ground. This seems for me to give a good stretch and release in the tricep and elbow without engaging the shoulder.

Day #10

Walk 2.75 miles 40 minutes. Made my goal easy but wanted to push the edge a little bit today so I’ll have some extra in me for the test. Feeling pretty good today. Not to sore from yesterday workout. I’m making sure I get enough rest. Lately I’ve been getting an average of 6 hours but I’m making myself get 8 hours for the extra recovery. Cool down compensation: Down Facing Dog Twisting Pigeon Seated Spinal Twist Forward Fold Camel Pose
